you took and you took and you took til i had nothing left to give to you or anyone i’m left as a shell as a mess as a hollow little heap you could clean up but you won’t you thought you thought it fine you thought oh this feels good you thought you’d get more time with me you thought you thought it fine you thought oh this feels good you thought you’d get more time with me i think it’s time to plan an escape i think i could slip out quiet and unseen with nothing left there’s nothing to take oh i’m worthless to you your exploits won’t get you cake i’m done oh i’m done i’m done oh i’m done i tried and i tried and i tried until my hands were tough as leather hide reserves run dry i’m showing without any rest i’ve got the face to prove it oh my lord when will it stop you thought you thought it fine you thought oh this feels good you thought you’d get more time with me

in my bones 03:33
it’s frozen out my movements are hushed of sound and i’m covering so much ground silently figuring out my ways thirsty these days oooh it’s storming out the sky is breaking clouds and my thoughts come crashing down colliding with tired ground i think about all these things oooh i’m just trying to move along i asked for help and came out stronger and i can feel it in my bones feeling my whole body go it’s lifted now the heat has passed this town and my heavily sweated brow no longer needs sorting out i see clearly these things oooh i’m just trying to move along i asked for help and came out stronger and i can feel it in my bones feeling my whole body go

please don’t tell me that your growing old that means your moving on not ready for you to be gone please don’t tell me that i’m still so young it’s not like i’m an eight year old runnin around with my knees scratched up and my hair to the ground i saw you i saw you that night ya got back from your visit eyes welling up sayin it’s alright i said mother mother mother why won’t you cry with me why do you have to be the bravest one being brave for me

i grew a foot since i saw you last and hey i wanted you to wait cos i knew i knew i would change but too little too late too little too late won’t you wait just through the day and your interest did fade you’re on your way won’t you wait i know it’s getting so late your mind it changed you’re on your way my words stacked up high on your openness and hey you were so brave cos you took on my sharp tongue and all it had to say it wasn’t my place won’t you wait just through the day and your interest did fade you’re on your way won’t you wait i know it’s getting so late your mind it changed you’re on your way

about

How To Ask For Help is a collaboration between No Movement Records label-mates, Charlie Moses and bdRm. Charlie Moses acts as the singer/songwriter bringing their dark-soulful vocals and jazz/folk hybrid chords to the table. bdRm takes the producer helm, arranging the instrumentation, seamlessly melding his pianos, electronics, and programmed beats (provided by his We Are Parasols band-mate Alec Eye) into each track.
