Not That Far Away

"Not That Far Away" was written in a cabin near Mt Hood, Oregon and was inspired by being away from home for the first time during the pandemic, the darkness of the forest, and horror soundtracks. When We Are Parasols (Jeremy and Alec's main band) were invited to compose the soundtrack for the horror-fiction podcast, Outgrowth, parts of "Not That Far Away" were borrowed and used as the basis for the main theme of the soundtrack. Once the podcast and soundtrack album were released the duo decided to finish and release "Not That Far Away" as a single.
